Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
The short version:Worth keeps your financial data on your device. We don't require an account, we don't run analytics or ads, and we never collect, transmit, or store your information on our servers. Your data stays with you.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Worth mobile app ("Worth," the "App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use it on iOS or Android. By using Worth, you agree to the practices described here.
1. The data you enter stays on your device
Worth is a net worth tracker. The information you add to the App is stored locally on your device only, using the standard storage provided by your operating system. This includes:
- Account names, types, and balances you add
- Balance history and snapshots over time
- Contributions you record
- Net worth goals and savings rate
- Assumptions and inputs you set for projections (such as an expected rate of return, age, or birthday)
This data is never sent to us or to any third party. We have no servers that receive it, and we cannot see it.
2. Information we do not collect
Worth is designed to work without collecting personal information. We do not:
- Require you to create an account or provide an email address
- Use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs
- Collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or location data
- Access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
- Use cookies or similar tracking technologies
- Sell or share your personal data — we have none to sell
3. Device sensors
Worth may read your device's motion sensors to power subtle visual effects in the interface. This happens entirely on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
4. App stores and device backups
Worth is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. When you download or update the App, those platforms may collect information under their own privacy policies (for example, download counts or crash diagnostics collected at the operating-system level). We do not control that collection. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
If you enable device backups (such as iCloud Backup or Google's backup service), your device may include Worth's on-device data in those backups. Those backups are managed by Apple or Google under their terms, and we have no access to them.
5. Data retention and deletion
Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it. Deleting the App removes all of the data Worth has stored on your device. Since we don't hold any of your information, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end.
6. Security
Worth stores its data within the private, sandboxed storage area that iOS and Android provide to each app. Keeping your data on-device and off the network significantly reduces exposure. That said, no method of storage is completely secure, and we encourage you to protect your device with a passcode or biometric lock.
7. Children's privacy
Worth is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The App does not collect personal information from any user.
8. Your privacy rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA give people rights to access, correct, delete, or port their personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because Worth does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on our systems, we hold nothing about you to access, export, or delete — you already have full, direct control of all your data on your device. If you have questions about your rights, you can contact us at the address below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be noted within the App.
